I'm working on building a powerful PC for intensive computations, like full 3D simulations, and I want to make sure all my components are compatible. Here's what I've gathered so far:

1. Thermaltake AW360 AIO Liquid Cooler (TOUGHFAIR Pro)
2. Noctua NT-H1 Thermal Compound (3.5g)
3. Noctua NF-A14 PWM chromax.black.swap 14cm Fan
4. AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7985WX Processor
5. Asus Pro WS TRX50-Sage WiFi CEB Motherboard
6. DDR5 96GB ECC RAM
7. Samsung 990PRO 4TB Gen 4 M.2 SSD
8. Crucial T710 4TB Gen 5.0x4 M.2 SSD
9. Seagate 24TB Exos X24 Enterprise HDD
10. Seasonic Prime TX-1300 ATX 3.1 Titanium Power Supply
11. Fractal Design Meshify 3 Black TG Light Tint ATX Case
12. AMD Radeon PRO W7800

I'm really concerned about compatibility issues that could waste my money, so I'd love to hear your opinions and suggestions!

Your motherboard is typically used with non-Pro Threadripper chips, so while the Asus Pro WS TRX50 is compatible, it’s better suited for the non-Pro version. I'd suggest either going with the Threadripper non-Pro 7980X, which offers 64 cores with the Asus TRX50 board, or the Threadripper Pro 7985X with an Asus WRX90 board for maximum performance. Just keep in mind, the latter is significantly pricier. Everything else looks great!

Thank you very much! I will look for the second option then!

Would you recommend a similar newer generation cpu? I mean from the 9000 series.
