I recently signed up for a 7-day trial with an app called Tandem to help me practice my French. However, I was charged $69 immediately after signing up instead of getting the trial period. I can't afford that right now and I've tried disputing the charge with Apple twice, but they keep denying my requests for a refund. I'm really frustrated because Tandem said they can't do anything since Apple handles the transactions. I'm at a loss for what to do next.

Did you remember to cancel the trial before the 7 days were up? If you didn’t, they’re probably within their rights not to grant a refund based on your agreement. Also, if you do go for a chargeback, make sure to back up any important stuff on your devices before disconnecting everything from your Apple ID, as it could get complicated afterwards.
Unfortunately, the only option left might be to request a chargeback. Just remember that doing so can result in your account getting banned, so be cautious!

I thought I was only supposed to be charged after the trial, but they took the money before it started! I'm seriously considering switching to Android after this.
