Need Recommendations for a New Laptop

I'm looking to buy a laptop for work as a public school teacher, and I'm also planning to work as a virtual assistant at night. I'm really torn between getting a Mac or a Windows laptop since I don't know much about them. I would appreciate any recommendations you all might have, including brands and specific models. Also, just to clarify, my budget is around $1,000.

A lot depends on your budget! If you're aiming for around $1,000, I'd say go for a MacBook Air with the M2 chip if you want something reliable and long-lasting. It's great for teaching and has fantastic battery life! Just keep in mind it’s not really meant for gaming, so if that’s a concern, modify your expectations a bit.

If you're not tied down to a specific brand and your choice is more about preference, then you could get a solid Windows laptop for $1,000 too! There are plenty of options out there that will work perfectly for both teaching and virtual assisting. It's all about what you feel more comfortable with.
