Recommendations for a Budget B850 Motherboard

Hey everyone, I'm working on a gaming PC build with a budget of around $1200, and I'm planning to use a Ryzen 9600X. I've seen various videos online, but I haven't found a lot of recommendations for a good B850 motherboard. I'm looking for something that offers solid connectivity and good VRAM. I want to avoid ASRock since they're not readily available where I live and I've heard mixed reviews about their compatibility with the Ryzen 9800X3D. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

The B650 and B850 motherboards are pretty similar. If you're working with a tight budget, I recommend going for a B650. It probably makes more sense for your build.

If you're skipping ASRock, I suggest the Gigabyte Gaming X WiFi. It's a solid choice and generally priced around $130-180. It’s known for its decent upgrades over some of the basic models.

I have the Gigabyte B850 Gaming X (WiFi 6E) and it's been good so far. Just be aware it lacks an SPDIF port, but you can easily work around that with a USB adapter. Some alternatives that include all the ports tend to cut corners elsewhere, so keep that in mind when choosing.

I just built my PC too, and I was considering the B850 but went with the B650M (Project Zero). It offers fantastic performance at a lower price. Honestly, I don’t see why people spend so much on the B870 when the B650 is just as good.

For a gaming build, you should focus on your GPU rather than spending so much on a CPU like the 9600X. It's all about balancing the components.

What would you recommend for the GPU then? I'm hearing good things about the 9600X, especially with its thermals compared to the older 7th gen CPUs.
