Hey everyone, I'm excited to share that I'm finally upgrading my setup! I'm transitioning from an i7 7700k with a GTX 1080 to a new build featuring a Ryzen 5 9600x, a 7800 XT, an x870 Eagle motherboard, 32 GB of DDR5 6400 MT CL 32 RAM, an 850W Core Reactor II power supply, and an Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro cooler—all housed in a Corsair 3500X case with additional fans. The only component that's delayed is the GPU, which I won't receive until late May or early June. I'm torn between starting the build with the parts I have now and swapping in the 7800 XT when it arrives, or just waiting to assemble everything once the GPU is here. What do you all think?

I’d recommend waiting until you get your GPU. If you build now and stick with the 1080 for a while, you might lose some excitement since you won’t be able to enjoy the performance bump from the new card right away. Plus, switching from NVIDIA to AMD can sometimes lead to driver issues, so it might be safer to keep the 1080 out of the new system altogether until you're ready to swap in the 7800 XT.
This is exactly the advice I was looking for. Thank you!
