Hey everyone! I got this HP Omen 45L prebuilt a little over a year ago, and while it's super powerful, I've been running into some issues. My Intel 14900K CPU never seems to hit over 5 GHz under load, and I'm not sure if that's linked to the motherboard. I've heard of some folks undervolting their CPUs for better performance, but my HP BIOS doesn't allow for undervolting or even basic tweaks. Since this machine is important for both my work and gaming (I use memory and CPU-heavy software and have 64GB of DDR5), I'm considering replacing the motherboard. I'm looking for suggestions on motherboards that would enhance performance for both tasks. Any advice?

Before you dive into replacing your motherboard, have you thought about reaching out to HP support? I know they can be hit or miss, but it could be worth a shot since this was a prebuilt and might still have some warranty options left.
Yeah, I actually contacted them before, but they weren’t very helpful. The warranty expired a while back. I even took it to Microcenter for a PSU issue, but they misdiagnosed it as a RAM problem! Long story short, it took me a while to realize the PSU was the actual culprit.
