Hey everyone! I recently got back into PC gaming after a few years, and while my setup stills runs fine, I've noticed it can be pretty slow sometimes, especially during boot-up. I'm considering doing an upgrade and would love some advice on whether it's necessary or not. Here's what I have:

- Thermaltake Smart RGB 700W power supply
- MasterLiquid ML240R RGB AIO CPU cooler
- Antec DF700 Flux mesh front TG with 3 ARGB fans
- Corsair 32GB DDR4 Vengeance RGB RAM
- Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite LGA1700 Motherboard
- Intel 12th Gen Core i5-12400F processor
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Eagle OC graphics card

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

First off, do you have an SSD or just an HDD? It sounds like you mentioned having both, which is great! Most games and applications running off an SSD can drastically improve boot times and overall speed. If you're loading a lot of games from the HDD, that might be your bottleneck. If you haven’t done it yet, consider moving more of your frequently used games to the SSD for a snappier experience.

Yeah, I put most of my games on the SSD, but I still have a few on the HDD. Maybe I'll just switch them around to see how it goes. Thanks for the tip!

With that setup, you're actually pretty solid for most games! The i5 and RTX 3080 can handle a lot without struggle. If you're facing slow boot times, you might want to check your startup programs. Reducing those can help speed things up significantly! Also, keep in mind that sometimes a clean reinstall of Windows can resolve persistent sluggishness too.
