I currently have an Intel i5-14400F and an RTX 4060. I recently purchased an RX 7800 XT at a great price, and now I'm wondering if I should wait for Intel's new CPUs to buy a good one that works well with my RX 7800 XT. I want something stable for gaming, especially since I mainly play FPS games and some AAAs. I prefer Intel so I don't have to change my motherboard and RAM. Any suggestions on good Intel CPUs for gaming, particularly for CS2? Also, would it be better to wait for the new generation to potentially find a deal on eBay? Thanks for your input!

Since you're looking to upgrade your CPU, you should know that if you go for a new Intel chip, you'll likely need a new motherboard too because Intel switches sockets quite often. AMD tends to support their sockets longer, meaning you might have better upgrade options with them. If you're on DDR4 RAM, you might consider upgrading that too, but if you have DDR5, you can stick with it. Plus, even if Intel fixes the issues with their latest generations, they're still not the top choice for gaming right now, and the upcoming generation might not be as strong as you hope.
Your current CPU should still perform okay with the RX 7800 XT for gaming. But if you want top-tier performance in CS2, you should look at the Ryzen 7 7800X3D or the Ryzen 9 7900X3D. They're great options for maximizing your gaming experience!
