I'm in the process of evaluating new server hardware, and lately, HPE has been pushing us towards their GreenLake solution. I've never used it, but I can't shake the feeling that their licensing model and usage-based pricing will turn into a nightmare. On the other hand, Fujitsu seems like a more straightforward, traditional option.
Has anyone had any hands-on experience with Fujitsu servers in a production environment? I'm really interested in hearing about the hardware reliability, support quality, and firmware experiences. It would be great to get honest feedback, especially from those who have shifted away from HPE or steered clear of GreenLake. Thanks in advance!

I’d be careful with Fujitsu. They aren't really the go-to in the server market. I'd suggest sticking with the major players.
If out-of-band management is a big deal for you, I’d recommend sticking with Dell, HPE, or Lenovo. They have it down much better. But if you're looking for affordable and disposable options, consider Supermicro or Gigabyte and just grab a few extra servers to cover any downtime.
We used Fujitsu servers back around 2019 at a client's site. They felt a bit like white boxes, but overall, they were reliable. Just a heads up, the management tools were pretty basic though, so keep that in mind if that's a priority for you.
I've been keeping an eye on this topic. We recently switched from being all HPE to trying out SuperMicro and it's been a refreshing change after decades with HPE. Worth exploring alternative options!.
