Trouble Getting Signal to My Monitor After Building My PC

I recently assembled my first PC, but I'm facing a frustrating issue: I'm not getting any signal to my monitor. I've double-checked every connection and ensured that all cords are secure. The system powers up, but the screen stays black without showing the BIOS. I'm plugging the monitor into the video card as recommended, not the motherboard, yet nothing happens. Additionally, my keyboard doesn't seem to connect either; I've tried repeatedly pressing the delete key to get it to respond, but it remains unresponsive. I've also tested different RAM slots with no success. Any advice would be greatly appreciated—I'm really stuck!

I can relate! I thought I checked everything too, but it turned out the issue was with the power supply connection to the CPU. Make sure everything is plugged into the right outlet; if that outlet has issues, switch it up. Also, resetting the CMOS or updating the BIOS can sometimes clear these kinds of problems.

Check if you have a wireless keyboard or mouse connected. Sometimes that can interfere with the boot process, especially if it's not responding. If you have wired options, definitely try those!

Could you share your PC specs? Sometimes the motherboard has diagnostic lights that indicate problems. They can give you a hint about what might be going wrong. If you see any lights flickering as you switch the RAM sticks, that could also provide useful info.

Omg, I just switched some connections around and everything started working right away! Sometimes it’s just about experimenting with the setup until you hit the right combo. Good luck!
