Hey everyone! I'm really struggling with my 1TB Toshiba external hard drive. It hasn't been dropped or damaged in any way, and the last time I used it on my previous computer, everything worked perfectly. But now that I've switched to a new laptop running Windows 11 (same as before), I can't access it at all. When I plug it in, the indicator light turns on and I can hear the internal components working, but it's completely unresponsive in both File Explorer and Disk Management. I've read that filling unallocated space might help, but that's tricky since all my visible drives are currently partitioned. I'm really at a loss here since I could access the drive on my old laptop, but I need a solution for this new one. I even tried my old computer again, and strangely, the drive is still not accessible there after an update. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What connection are you using for your hard drive? USB or SATA? It’s important to know because if you’re using USB, try switching to a different port or an alternative cable to rule out any connection issues.
Hey! One thing to check is your BIOS settings. Sometimes if the system doesn't recognize the drive there, it might mean something's up with the connection. Also, be careful when making changes in BIOS, as it could lead to data loss. Just a heads up!
I'm using a USB connection and the port seems fine—I just used it for an audio interface without problems.
