Upgraded RAM and Now My PC Won’t Display – Help!

Hey everyone, I'm really in a bind here. I have a B450M Steel Legend motherboard, and I was using a single 8GB stick of Asgard DDR4 3600MHz RAM without any issues. Today, I tried to upgrade and added two new Corsair Vengeance LPX sticks (2x16GB, also DDR4 3600MHz) in slots A2 and B2. Now, the computer powers on but doesn't show anything on the display. It just keeps cycling on and off after about 40 seconds. I even put the old RAM back in, but I'm still stuck in the same loop with no display. Did I mess something up? I'm really lost here! 😭

If you’re still having issues, try removing the RAM completely, clear the CMOS, and then reinstall it. If that still doesn’t work, it might be best to return the Corsair RAM and consider getting a different brand.

How do I clear the CMOS? I’ve never done that before.

It sounds like your motherboard might just be doing memory training. Sometimes when you change RAM configurations, it needs a bit of time. Just walk away for a little while and let it do its thing. It can be a bit nerve-wracking if you’re not familiar with it, but it might just work itself out!

Should I leave both new sticks in for this memory training, or just one? I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Yep! Just give it some time; it’s a standard procedure after a RAM upgrade.
