What GPU Should I Upgrade To for Gaming on a Budget?

I'm trying to upgrade my GPU since my 5-year-old PC is struggling with newer games. Currently, I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super and don't need top-tier graphics settings. I'm hoping to keep my budget at or below $300 USD. I've considered the RTX 5060, but I've heard mixed reviews about it, particularly about its 8GB VRAM. Could anyone suggest a good GPU for my setup? Let me know if you need more details! Thanks in advance!

Make sure to share your other system specs, especially your PSU. That information can really help narrow down the options based on what can actually support the GPU you choose!

You should look into local marketplaces; you might find a used RTX 3080 for around $400. It’s much more powerful than the 5060 and would greatly enhance your gaming experience at 1440p.
