Hey everyone! I've just moved from the U.S. to a country in the EU and need to download a specific app for prescriptions that isn't available in my iPhone's default region. If I change my phone's region, what will it mean for my apps and data? Do I risk losing access to anything? Thanks for the help!

From what I’ve experienced, the main challenge is that you can’t update apps tied to your original region after you switch. For instance, if you switch to the French App Store to access a local app, you could still use an app like the Wells Fargo bank app for now, but you’ll eventually need to change back to the U.S. region to update it, which can be a hassle if you have multiple apps needing regular updates.
Don't forget, you’ll need to change your Apple ID region too, not just your phone's region setting. Just a heads up!
Another option is to just create a new iCloud account set to the country you’re in and use that to access local apps. I switch between U.S. and Mexico App Stores this way and it works fine!
Changing your iPhone's region can cause you to lose access to some media or subscriptions tied to your original region. For example, if you're using a streaming service that’s only available in the U.S., you might not be able to access that after switching.

Exactly! You end up swapping back and forth just to keep everything running, which can get quite annoying.
