What should I do if the PCIe clip broke off while removing my GPU?

I recently had a mishap where the PCIe clip broke off while I was trying to remove my GPU. I'm really certain neither the motherboard nor the GPU got damaged, as I was able to reinsert the GPU and secure it with screws. I even added a GPU support bracket just to be safe. Now, I'm feeling uneasy about the broken clip. Should I go ahead and buy a new clip to install before I power on my PC?

I've had the clip pop out on me before, and I just managed to snap it back in place. Is it completely broken off this time?

Yeah, it actually snapped off completely, so I'm not sure how safe that is.

I used to break that clip off on purpose when upgrading my setup and never encountered any issues! Just make sure not to move the PC around a lot with the GPU still installed, but honestly, that's always a good practice anyway.
