What’s a reasonable price for a used PC for older games?

I'm looking to buy a used PC specifically for playing older games from around the 2000 to 2010 era. The specs are: GTX 1060 (3GB), i5-7400, 8GB RAM, and a 500W PSU. The seller hasn't mentioned whether the RAM is DDR3 or DDR4, and there's not a lot of additional info besides that it has Windows 10 installed. Given that I want to keep it budget-friendly for running these older games, I'm wondering what would be a fair price for this setup?

I’d say around $100 is fair if you can’t find better options. Good luck!

Just a heads-up, it doesn’t officially support Windows 11, but it can run it with some tweaks.

I wouldn't go over $200 for it. Prices are likely to drop soon since Windows 10 support is ending. Plus, the i5-7400 won't support Windows 11, which makes it feel a bit outdated.

You can still install Windows 11 with some workarounds, but yeah, it’s old tech. Good for those classic games, though!

You could snag a used 1060 for under $50 on eBay, and an i5-7400 PC might be under $100, so around $150 seems reasonable.

In the UK, something like this would be available for free or up to £100. The 1060 should handle games from that time well; you’ll have fun with titles like Quake and Unreal Tournament on it!

Totally agree, the 1060 will work great even for games like GTA (not V, though!).
