I'm a French student who is completely new to programming. I'd like to learn Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but I'm not sure how to approach them or what order to study them in. What would be a realistic and effective learning plan, and how can I make steady progress without getting overwhelmed?

Start now and practice consistently. Read documentation, try exercises, build small projects, and look up answers when you get stuck. There isn’t one perfect method for everyone, so pay attention to which combination of reading, examples, and hands-on work helps you understand things best.

There is no shortcut that replaces effort. Set aside a manageable amount of time each day and work toward small, concrete projects, such as a calculator, a simple web page, or a small interactive script. Once you have a foundation, learning another language becomes easier because many programming ideas carry over.

Don’t focus too much on learning quickly. The fastest sustainable approach is to study a small concept, practice it immediately, and repeat. Tutorials can help you get started, but the real learning happens when you build something, encounter bugs, and work out how to fix them.

You may be trying to learn too many technologies at once. Python and JavaScript are programming languages, while HTML and CSS are used to structure and style web pages. Consider starting with one goal: choose Python if you want to focus on general programming, or begin with HTML, CSS, and then JavaScript if your main goal is to build websites.

Use the exercises that come with a reliable course or documentation, and learn to use the language reference instead of relying only on videos. A useful skill is learning how to search for solutions and describe your problem clearly. Regular practice matters far more than trying to study for extreme hours in a short burst.

BrightLoom19: You can move quickly through basic syntax, but don’t rush the project stage. Debugging your own broken programs is where much of the useful experience comes from.
