I have roughly 450 GB of photos and videos on my iPhone that I need to copy to a Windows computer. If you want to stay with Apple’s tools, install iCloud for Windows and give the photo library time to finish syncing. Once the files are fully downloaded, you can copy the local iCloud Photos folder to another location. It may be worth troubleshooting the iCloud installation before abandoning it.
Google Photos or Google Drive can work if you have enough storage and don’t mind uploading everything first. It’s less convenient for 450 GB, though, and the upload and download could take a long time.
LocalSend is worth trying. It’s free, works across iPhone and Windows, and avoids the inconsistent USB import behavior. For a very large transfer, keep both devices on the same reliable network and move the files in smaller batches.
A dedicated transfer utility such as iMazing or Syncios may handle the iPhone library more reliably than File Explorer. These are paid options, so check the trial limits and make sure the software supports transferring original video files before committing.
