What’s Up with the Flickering Lines on My Monitor?

I've been experiencing a weird issue with my computer lately. After I start it up, I see these strange flashing lines all over my monitor during the boot process. Sometimes these lines get bigger but seem to slow down after a while. For some context, my setup includes an overclocked 5900x processor, an overclocked RTX 3060 graphics card, and 32GB of RAM, all running on Windows 11. Interestingly, I had the same monitor and GPU with my previous computer, and I encountered similar issues then too. Any ideas on what's going on?

Just a heads up, making changes to your BIOS or disk settings can lead to data loss, so make sure you have backup data before tinkering with those. Also, if you're looking for more info, check out the tech support FAQ for some troubleshooting tips!

Definitely take a picture of your screen when the lines appear. Just saying you see lines doesn't give us a full picture—it's hard to diagnose without visuals. If those lines are exactly what I think, there's a chance your GPU might be malfunctioning.

It sounds like you might want to try resetting your clock settings back to stock. If you have access to other graphics cards, it might be worth swapping one in to see if the issue persists.
