I'm looking to upgrade my CPU while also getting an RX 7900 GRE for gaming and occasional streaming. Currently, I have a 7500F. Here are the prices I've found:
- R7 7700 for €219
- R7 9700X for €277
- R7 7800X3D for €314
I've seen mixed opinions where some say the 9700X is a great budget option while others suggest that the 7700 doesn't offer much over the 9700X and is better due to lower power consumption and heat. I'm just feeling a bit stuck on what I should choose!

Honestly, even the R7 7800X3D, being the strongest option here, is only about 20% faster than the 9700X, especially at lower resolutions. Unless you're really keen on squeezing out every bit of performance, it might not be worth the extra cash and hassle to upgrade.
But that's still like a 30-50 FPS boost in many games, right? Isn't that worth considering?
