Hey everyone! I recently picked up an MSI 49" Curved OLED Display, which has a resolution of 1440p and a refresh rate of 144Hz. I'm in the process of building my first gaming PC and I'm trying to decide on a good GPU. Would the 5070 Ti be sufficient for this setup, or should I invest in the 5080?

The 5090 is the top contender for high-end gaming! If you want the best of the best and are willing to invest, that's a solid option.
Yeah, 5120x1440 is a tough resolution to handle, but the 5070 Ti should manage it. The 5080 would give you a bit more power, but it's only about a 15% boost, so it's not a huge leap.
The 5070 Ti should work fine if you leverage features like DLSS, Frame Generation, or FSR. I have a setup with a 12900k and a 5070 Ti connected to a Samsung G9 ultrawide, and I've had solid results gaming. For instance, while playing Hogwarts Legacy at 5120x1440, I was able to achieve some great frame rates with varying settings! Definitely don’t underestimate the 5070 Ti's performance for its price.
You should go for the fastest option you can stretch your budget to, ideally something with at least 16 GB of VRAM. It'll really help in maximizing your gaming experience!
I've got a 5080, and it really excels at handling everything I throw at it. With my LG ultrawide, I often have to cap my frame rates because I'm hitting that 240 fps mark way too easily! Definitely a solid choice if you can afford it.
