I'm looking to upgrade my outdated GPU soon since the holidays are coming up. I mostly play games like League of Legends, PUBG, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. I'd appreciate any recommendations to improve my FPS performance, but I'm working with a limited budget. Here's my setup: CPU: RYZEN 7 2700, GPU: MSI RX580 8 GB OC MK2 ARMOUR, MOTHERBOARD: ROG STRIX B450-f GAMING.

The games you've mentioned are pretty CPU-heavy, but if you're set on upgrading the GPU, a new RX 6800 XT could be around $350, or you could find an 8GB card for about $280, which should handle those titles well. For a used option, the 5700 XT for about $150 could be worth it, especially with your current PSU setup.

If I just upgrade the CPU, will I see a significant boost in performance for these games?

It would help to have more details about your budget. Do you know how much you can spend, and what’s the wattage of your power supply?

I'd say around $500 for the upgrade, and I have a 650W Cooler Master power supply.

For CPU upgrades, consider the Ryzen 5 5600, 5700, or 5800. Make sure your RAM is set to dual channel. For GPU, you could look at the RX 6800 XT for a higher-end option, but if you need something more budget-friendly, a used GPU like the 2060 Super, 6700 XT, or even 3060 could be good choices. If you're going for an older GPU, I recommend Nvidia for their DLSS support. Most of your games tend to be CPU limited, though.
