I'm looking for a Linux distribution that's great for everyday use and gaming. I want something customizable, but not too complicated. I've used Manjaro before, and it was a hassle getting Steam to work with Wine, which took way too much time for my liking. I've installed Mint for my family and it worked fine for them. I'm an IT professional, so I can troubleshoot when necessary, but I really don't want to spend my evenings debugging issues instead of playing games.
For gaming, I'm into light to medium titles like Factorio, Warframe, Satisfactory, and Palworld—so nothing like Call of Duty or Battlefield. I prefer having an app store, but I'm open to using the command line if there's good documentation. I don't want to deal with multiple apps just to get one installed, like with Wine.
My setup includes a Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, a Radeon 5700X GPU, and 32 GB of RAM. I've been considering OpenSuse and Devuan, but I've heard OpenSuse isn't ideal for gaming. Can anyone help me choose between these, or suggest another distro? Thanks!

If you're looking for a straightforward transition, check out the migration tips from the community. They can be really helpful. And just to let you know, Factorio has a native Linux build, so you'll be good to go in that regard!
I also recommend CachyOS! I recently installed it on my daily driver, and it's been a fantastic experience. Plus, if you prefer a specific desktop environment, KDE Plasma on CachyOS is amazing. Gnome is another solid option if you lean towards a more Mac-like interface.
You should definitely give CachyOS a try! I've been using it on my Steam Deck, and it's worked flawlessly for all my gaming needs. If you find that CachyOS doesn't work for you, Bazzite could be worth considering, especially since you're using AMD hardware. It's designed to require minimal tinkering, so it's perfect for gaming without the hassle.
