I'm looking to upgrade to a Ryzen 7000 series CPU and need an ITX motherboard for my build. However, I'm finding that most of the available options are priced around $300 CAD. The only two that are somewhat affordable are the A620i from Gigabyte and the A620i from ASRock. Given that Ryzen CPUs are quite popular, I'm curious why there are so few options out there. Are there any new models expected to be released soon?

The "ITX tax" is definitely a thing – you end up paying more for the smaller form factor just for the convenience. It's like a specialty item that comes with a premium price tag.
I heard about the B650I Night Devil from a user, but I’m not sure how it stands against the others.
Miniaturization is costly! Generally, ITX boards are more expensive than their larger counterparts. They're produced in smaller quantities and often require different tooling to manufacture. Honestly, I'm surprised they don't cost even more considering those factors.
You could consider the Asus ROG Strix B650E-I for about $230 and the Gigabyte Aorus Pro B850I for around $260, though AMD ITX boards usually come at a higher price than Intel ones. Just a heads up, I saw your note about CAD prices—apologies for missing that!
Exactly! They just don’t make as many, and the market for them is smaller, which drives up the price.
