My messages are arriving, but my iPhone doesn't show notifications when someone contacts me on WhatsApp. I only see new messages after opening the app manually. I've already checked Do Not Disturb, Sleep mode, and the other basic settings. What else can I try to restore the notifications?

Open WhatsApp and check its own notification settings under Settings > Notifications. Make sure message and group notifications are enabled. If everything looks correct, restart the phone and update both WhatsApp and iOS.
Since you’ve already checked the focus and Do Not Disturb settings, look for a Focus mode that might still be silencing WhatsApp specifically. You can also try turning notifications off and back on, then restarting the phone.
Check your iPhone’s notification permissions for WhatsApp. Go to Settings > Notifications > WhatsApp and make sure Allow Notifications is enabled, with Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners selected. Also confirm that Sounds and Badges are turned on.
