I created an account for my startup so we could use the service later, but we ended up building our MVP with cheaper providers instead. Now I'm ready to switch to a more established platform, but I can't log in to the original account. When I try to register again, I'm told that my company email is already associated with an existing account. Is there a way to recover or reactivate it, or am I forced to use a different email address?

An email address can only be associated with one account, even if the account was never actively used. Try the account-recovery or password-reset process first. If you no longer have access or the account is actually closed, support will need to help resolve it. As a workaround, you may be able to use an email alias such as a plus-address if your mail provider supports that.

That’s frustrating, but I’ll try recovering the original account first. If that doesn’t work, I may need to create an alias or a separate mailbox and make sure I actually use the account this time.
