I've been having a frustrating issue while downloading games on Steam and maybe even other platforms. My download speed will start off strong at about 20MB/s for a short period, anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes, and then it just fizzles out, alternating between no downloads or extremely slow speeds. This issue didn't exist before, so I suspect it's something wrong with my computer rather than my WiFi connection.

I've experienced that same annoying problem too! It usually helps to restart your router; sometimes mine gets a bit finicky. I prioritize my gaming PC on the network to make sure it's getting enough bandwidth, and turning off the modem for a bit tends to help when things are really bad. It's weird how many devices you have connected can mess with your downloads, especially with big games like Diablo 4 that take forever to update.
I've run into the same issue! My Steam downloads were inconsistent as well when I was on Windows 10. I thought it was just me, so it's good to know I'm not alone here.
Hey, do you happen to have an SSD? Also, I'm curious, what CPU are you using? I had similar issues, but once I upgraded to a better setup, things improved a lot. It might be worth checking if your hardware is keeping up with the downloads.
