I'm curious about why Apple Intelligence is taking up 12GB of storage on my MacBook Air. Is there a way to reduce it, or should I just accept it as part of the system?

The basic model of the MacBook Air has a 256 GB SSD, so 12GB is pretty small in the grand scheme of things. It’s not really a big issue.

It’s just how it is! Apple Intelligence is designed this way, and as far as Apple is concerned, it’s not really a problem that needs fixing. Just seems to be a part of the system!

Large Language Models are called large for a reason, right? They need space to operate effectively.
