Why Is My GPU Not Being Detected?

I'm having an issue where my PC isn't recognizing the GPU at all. The fans on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 are spinning, but it doesn't show up in the display adapters list. This is an older PC, and it worked fine in the past, but now it's just not cooperating. I've made sure the GPU is securely fit in the PCIe slot and that all its power cables are properly connected. I've also cleaned the slot to remove any dust, explored all the options in the BIOS, and tried updating the drivers, but it still can't detect the hardware.

I'm wondering if updating the BIOS could help, or if there are any other troubleshooting steps I could take, or is the card just toast? My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z87MX-D3H.

Did you double-check the power supply? Sometimes even if nothing's changed, the PSU might not be providing enough juice for the GPU to function properly.

Have you checked if you downloaded the latest driver for the GTX 760? I found this link: [NVIDIA Driver](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/206792/). Make sure you use that one instead.
