I recently bought an ADATA Premium M.2 Gen 4 SSD for my PS5 with 99% health, and I got it for a steal at 93 CAD (68 USD). While some games like Street Fighter 6 load significantly faster, I noticed that the overall speed is only about 25% of the advertised performance. I'm using an Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming motherboard and checked the SSD's health with CrystalDiskInfo and HD Tune, both showing no errors. On the manufacturer's site, it mentions two M.2 connectors: one supports PCIe 3.0, and the other supports PCIe 2.0. I suspect I'm using the second connector, which may be why my speeds are so low. However, I can't find clear info about the M2B socket's specs. Can anyone shed some light on this?

You're spot on! An M.2 Gen 4 SSD is designed for PCIe 4.0 x4 speeds, but it looks like you're stuck in a PCIe 2.0 x4 slot, which is really slowing things down to about 25% of what you should be experiencing. Definitely consider moving it to a slot that supports at least PCIe 3.0 to boost your speeds!
Exactly! PCIe 4.0 means you've got those speedy capabilities, but without the right slot, you're just not getting the benefits. Try switching it to the PCIe 3.0 slot; that should help a lot!
