Why Is My New SSD Showing 0 GB in Disk Manager?

Hey everyone! I recently bought a 1TB SSD along with an enclosure to upgrade my laptop's existing SSD. I tried to clone my old SSD right out of the box, but it didn't work. Then I learned that I need to initialize the new SSD first. I opened Disk Manager as per a tutorial, but I was supposed to get a pop-up that never showed up. Now, my SSD is listed as online but shows 0 GB. I'm usually pretty tech-savvy, but I'm stuck. Any advice on what to do next?

It sounds like your enclosure might not be recognizing the SSD, which would lead to it showing as 0 GB. Here are a couple of things to check:
1. Make sure the SSD is securely inserted into the enclosure.
2. Check if your enclosure is compatible with the type of SSD you have. For instance, some enclosures support NVMe drives while others only support SATA. Let me know the details of your enclosure and SSD if you need more help!

Have you tried creating a partition on the SSD? Sometimes that can help it get recognized. But if it's showing 0 GB, like you said, it might not let you. But I just found out you might have the wrong type of SSD for your enclosure!
