I recently upgraded my PC from a 5600G with a 7800XT to a 5800XT. Ever since I made this change, I've noticed that my PC has become really loud, even when I'm not doing anything demanding. I'm still using the stock cooler that came with the CPU. Is this just me overreacting because the 5600G was quieter, or is there something I should be concerned about?

Make sure to monitor the temperatures when your PC is idle. If they're normal but the fan is still loud, it could just be a fan speed issue. Check the fan curves; it might be running at max speed unnecessarily.

It sounds like the stock cooler might be struggling a bit, especially if it's the one that came with the 5800XT. Since the 5800XT generates more heat than the 5600G, the fan may just be running at max speed to keep things cool. You might want to check the thermal paste as well if you didn't reapply it during the switch. An aftermarket cooler like the Thermalright Phantom Spirit is relatively cheap and could run much quieter.
Yeah, I definitely think it's the stock cooler making all that noise.
I did use the thermal paste that came with the fan, but I didn't switch it out. Could that be the issue?
I did notice there's a couple of cords from the fan that I didn't connect; should I look into those?
