I recently helped my brother set up an old PC he bought, but we're running into a problem. When we power it on, we're greeted with a black screen that says something about pressing 'Esc' to skip startup 'nsh'. I suspect the hard drive isn't being recognized which might be causing issues with the Windows installation. I created a bootable Windows USB drive, but when I get to the part where I need to choose a drive for installation, neither of his two Seagate Barracuda HDDs are showing up. I checked one of them physically, but the other is still in the system. He has a decent 750 watt PSU and both the data and power cords for the HDDs are connected to the SATA ports on the motherboard and PSU, respectively. His motherboard is an MSI Z87-G43. Any advice on how to proceed?

Have you tried installing the disk drivers during the Windows setup? You can download the necessary drivers and save them onto the USB. When the installation prompts you for a driver, just select it from that USB.
I haven't done that yet. How do I get those drivers onto the USB? I didn't find anything specific for those HDDs online. Would I need to use another USB for the drivers?
