Hi everyone, I'm in a bit of a bind and could really use your advice before I decide to return my recent purchase. A few days ago, I bought a couple of WEIMU DDR4 RAM modules from AliExpress because my laptop has been acting up with memory issues. However, when I installed the new RAM today, my laptop fails to recognize it. Oddly, while CPU-Z sees the RAM and displays the total installed amount, my operating system doesn't pick it up at all. I've tried a few troubleshooting steps, including swapping and reinstalling the modules, removing the battery, and pressing the power button for 30 seconds to clear static, but nothing has worked. When I try booting with just one of the new modules installed, I don't even get a display. My laptop is an HP 245 G8 equipped with a Ryzen 5 5500U processor. Do you think there's a compatibility problem, or should I just go ahead and request a refund?

It's worth checking your laptop’s specs to see the maximum RAM speeds and capacities it can support. Sometimes, if the RAM is too large or fast, it won’t work properly. You might be able to find this info in your user manual or online. I looked it up, but I couldn’t get the details without your laptop's serial number.
What are the full specs of the RAM modules you purchased, especially the capacity? I checked the specs for your laptop, and it can handle a maximum of 2x8GB. If you have 16GB or 32GB modules, that could be the issue.
First off, what version of Windows are you running? If you have Windows 10 32-bit, it can only recognize a max of 4GB. If it’s 64-bit or Windows 11, you shouldn’t have that limitation since they can handle way more RAM.
I'm on Windows 10, and it's 64-bit.
Could you point me to where I can find that information?
