Why isn’t my monitor getting a signal when connected to the motherboard?

So I just got a new monitor, but I've already used up my GPU outputs with an HDMI and a DisplayPort, leaving me with only the motherboard port available. However, when I plug the monitor into the motherboard, it doesn't show any signal. Any ideas on how to fix this?

What CPU do you have? The integrated graphics functionality can depend on that, and you would definitely need it to support a third monitor through the motherboard. If you've got an i5-11600k, you should be good to go for that!

You might want to check which parts you're using first. If your CPU doesn’t support integrated graphics, that could be the issue. You might also need to dive into your BIOS settings to enable the integrated GPU (iGPU). That’s usually necessary if you want to run a monitor from the motherboard while using the GPU for others.

Just a heads-up, if you're connecting to the motherboard, make sure the integrated graphics are enabled in the BIOS. Typically, it used to be a restriction to use either GPU or integrated graphics, but that might have changed.
