I recently moved my Windows 11 setup to a new PC but I'm trying to use my old SSD, which has Windows 10, as extra storage. I've connected it to the new machine while it was powered off, but it's not showing up at all. I really don't want to format it since there are important files on that old SSD. Any ideas on what the problem could be or how I can get it recognized?

It sounds like you might need to check a few things. First, can you share some more details about your setup, like the specs of your new PC and where exactly you're plugging the SSD in? Knowing that might help assess the situation better.
Make sure to right-click the Start button and select Disk Management. Look for your SSD there; sometimes they don't have a drive letter assigned. If you find it without a letter, just right-click and assign one. If it's not showing at all, you could have a faulty connection or drive.
Try searching for 'disk management' on Windows. Sometimes new drives don't automatically get assigned a letter. If the drive still isn't visible, consider using an external adapter to back up your important data before formatting it, if needed. That way you don't lose anything.
