Why was I automatically resubscribed to Apple One after canceling?

I canceled my Apple One subscription back in August, but I still have Apple Music. Now I've been automatically resubscribed to Apple One without making any changes to my subscriptions. I checked my billing, and everything seems fine for the past two months with just Apple Music. Is there anything that could have caused this mix-up?
