Why Won’t My Linux Install Boot?

I recently installed Linux on a 1TB hard drive, but when I go to boot from it, all I see is a flickering white line. I'm not super tech-savvy, so I'd appreciate any simple explanations! Here are my computer specs: I'm using an AMD FX-6300 Six-Core Processor with 7.7 GiB of RAM and a storage capacity of about 1326.2 GB. My graphics card is an AMD/ATI Tobago PRO (Radeon R7 360/R9 360 OEM). Why isn't it booting?

Also, it might help to know which Linux distribution you're using and what ISO you installed. Sometimes specific versions can have quirks. If you can access the terminal by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F2 during boot, that could help in diagnosing the issue. A screenshot of the boot screen could also give us clues.

One of the first things to check is whether you installed Linux as a proper bootable operating system. If you just copied the installation files to your drive instead of using a tool to make it bootable, that could be the problem. Make sure you've followed the installation steps correctly, including setting the right boot options in your BIOS.
