I accidentally dropped my AM5 CPU from about 1 cm right after taking it out due to a hand cramp while trying to apply some thermal paste (PTM7950). I couldn't see any bent pins at the time, but I didn't have my magnifying lenses handy and forgot to use my phone's macro feature for a closer look. I'm almost done with my build but I'm worried about how likely it is that I might have bent a pin that I couldn't spot. Should I be really concerned about this mistake?

Did you drop it just as you were picking it up? If that's the case, keep in mind that the best way to check for bent pins is to inspect the CPU carefully under good lighting. Taking a close-up photo and zooming in can really help too. Just make sure you secure the CPU next time before applying any thermal paste or cleaning it!

Yeah, I get that. I dropped my CPU once and stressed out too, but I found that just giving it a careful check can often save you from worrying unnecessarily.
