I just reset my iPhone using the erase all data and settings option because I'm trading it in. However, I forgot to sign out of my iCloud account first. Is this going to cause any issues or is it okay as it is?

It's definitely a good idea to remove your iPhone from your iCloud account before trading it in. If you didn't do that, it might cause some problems for the next owner.
Unfortunately, without the iPhone, you'd have to log into iCloud.com and go to the 'Find My iPhone' section to remove it. You can also reach out to Apple Support for help if you're stuck.
