I'm dealing with frequent power outages in my area, especially during storms, and my power strip's surge protector just failed after a surge. A friend suggested I consider a UPS that has a swappable fuse so that I won't have to replace the entire unit when something goes wrong. I was checking out the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD, but I can't find any info on whether its fuse is replaceable after a surge. My friend has the APC UPS 1200VA, which they say can be repaired, but again, it's not mentioned in the product details. Any suggestions?

I've been using a UPS for my setup for seven years, and I've never had to replace a fuse—just one battery. I'm currently running a CyberPower AVR1500, which is similar to the one you're considering, and it’s been reliable with no issues.
Have you ever had to deal with a scenario where a normal surge protector would have failed you? I thought those were always one-time use.
