My PC Randomly Freezes, What’s Going On?

I've been experiencing random freezes on my PC for a while now. It happens while I'm just browsing the internet or accessing files, but strangely, not when I'm gaming. The freezes are pretty erratic; I'll be watching a YouTube video, and then suddenly, when I click on something, the PC freezes for a couple of seconds. The sound continues, but the screen just hangs. After that, it may freeze again after a few minutes or not at all for a while. What do you think could be causing this? Here are my specs:
- CPU: R5 5600
- GPU: RX 6750 XT
- Motherboard: ASUS Prime B450M-K
- RAM: 2 x 8GB DDR4 RAM

Could be a virus or some suspicious software. Have you downloaded anything that seemed questionable lately? It might be worth running a full scan just to be safe.

Have you cleaned out your PC lately? Dust can accumulate and cause overheating, which might lead to performance issues. If you haven’t used compressed air before, give your case a thorough clean—it can make a big difference!

I clean my PC every two months, but I don’t have compressed air.

You might want to check your running processes when the freezes happen. Sometimes, certain apps or background processes can spike CPU or RAM usage unexpectedly. Just keep an eye on task manager to see if anything unusual pops up during the freezes.

I checked, but I didn’t see any spikes at all.
