I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, and I'm thinking about upgrading my GPU to a 9060XT with 16GB. I'm not sure if my current CPU will be able to keep up with this card, or if I should consider upgrading to either a Ryzen 7 5800X (for $216) or a Ryzen 7 5700X3D (for $295). These are the best deals I've found in my area. What do you all think?

If you're going for the 9060XT, the 5600X should handle it pretty well. It really depends on what games you play. If you’re mostly into something like Fortnite, you may want to upgrade. But otherwise, try out the new GPU first and see if you notice any performance issues. It might surprise you!
Honestly, I don't think you'll see much of a drop in FPS at 1080p with your 5600X. If you were considering the 5800X3D, I say skip it and save for an even better GPU instead.
At 1080p, the 5600X should be good enough. Even at 1440p, it might surprise you with its performance!
Thanks for the input! My main game isn’t Fortnite, so maybe my 5600X will be fine for now.
Sticking with 5600X seems like a solid choice. A lot of gamers were pairing it with cards like the 7700XT, which is pretty similar to the 9060XT performance-wise. However, if you're looking for an upgrade, just keep an eye out for the Ryzen 5 5500X3D when it's available at a reasonable price!
Yeah, I'd probably just give the 9060XT a spin first. You might not even see any bottleneck!
