How to Fix My Non-Working Keyboard Keys on My HP Laptop?

I'm having an issue with my HP laptop running Windows 11. Some keys on the built-in keyboard aren't working at all—specifically, the keys E, R, W, U, I, O, and P. I've tried various solutions, like updating the drivers through Device Manager and restarting the laptop, but nothing seems to help. I would really appreciate any advice or solutions to fix this problem since I'm quite frustrated!

First off, is your laptop physical or a desktop? If it’s a laptop, try using an external keyboard. If that works fine, then it’s likely your laptop's keyboard that's having issues and may need replacing. If you’re on a desktop, just swap out the keyboard to see if that resolves the problem. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! It's a laptop, so I’ll definitely try that.

Since your laptop is new and you mentioned the keys are just a few that aren’t responding, it might be a hardware issue. Sometimes the keyboard can get defective even in new devices. I recommend you check with customer support for repairs or replacements under warranty.
