How can I disable Lost Mode on my iPhone 15 Max if Face ID isn’t working?

I recently lost my iPhone 15 Max but got it back thanks to someone who returned it. The problem is the display is partially damaged, so the Face ID feature isn't functioning. I activated Lost Mode as soon as I realized it was missing and turned it off upon its return. While I can enter my passcode, it prompts me for Face ID to fully deactivate Lost Mode. I've heard that if I stay in one place for 1-2 hours, it won't ask for Face ID anymore, but I'm not sure if that's true. Can anyone confirm if that's a reliable solution?

I've heard AI can be unreliable, especially when it comes to tech advice. I think the Lost Mode needs to be turned off through the Find My app or iCloud. Just staying put for a couple of hours may not help in this situation. It’s best to try deactivating it directly from iCloud if you haven’t already.

I actually did it through iCloud. Just be aware that even after deactivation, it might still ask you for Face ID, so be ready to troubleshoot further if that happens!
