I'm currently using an RX 580, and while most games run fine, I'm having performance issues with Space Marine 2. I'm thinking about a new build maybe next year, but for now, what's the best GPU I can get without causing a bottleneck with my i7-4770K?

With your old CPU, I really wouldn’t go for anything much better than what you have now. It’s probably best to wait for a new build.

If you're planning to upgrade in a year, consider getting a decent GPU now and not stressing too much about the bottleneck. You could buy a used GPU like a 3070 or 3080 if your power supply supports it. That way, when you do your full upgrade, you won’t have to worry about getting a new GPU right away.

I recently switched from an i7-4770 to an i7-4790K, and it made a huge difference! Pairing that with a 1080Ti was a big upgrade from the RX 580. If you can find a cheap upgrade on your CPU, it’s definitely worth it!

Honestly, even the entry-level RTX 5060 might struggle with your CPU. It's probably a good idea to save up for a complete new build instead of just upgrading the GPU. Any powerful GPU you get now will likely be limited by your CPU, so it might not be worth it in the long run.

You might want to go for an AMD 9060XT with 16GB; it’s priced around $350 MSRP. Sure, it’ll be held back by your CPU, but it’s a solid value and should perform much better once you upgrade your CPU later.

I've been hunting for a 9060XT or 9070XT forever! Can anyone suggest where I might find one? It's been an absolute pain trying to grab these.

How significant is the bottleneck going to be with the 9060XT?
