I'm looking to upgrade my current GPU, which is an RX 6600 XT that I've had since I built my PC a few years back. My top contenders are the RX 9060 XT and the RTX 5060. I have some reservations about the 9060 XT because I've never been fond of AMD's driver updates, but I'm considering the 16GB version since I've heard mixed reviews about the RTX 5060. Many gamers have expressed concerns about the 5060's limited 8GB VRAM, which has been a notable issue for me with my current setup. Since I typically play new AAA games more often than esports titles, I'm curious if the 9060 XT would greatly outperform the 5060, especially if I plan to upgrade my monitor to 1440p in the future. Currently, my monitor runs at 1080p, but with 1440p on the horizon, is the 9060 XT worth the extra $80?

The 9060 XT is definitely the way to go. You’ll get much better performance for the cost compared to both the 5060 and 5060 Ti. Don’t undercut your gaming by skimping on VRAM when you're going to be playing demanding games.
Check local stores or Micro Center if you're near one, they have the 9060 XT 16GB at MSRP, which is a great price. Otherwise, Newegg has it for about $40 more than MSRP, which isn't bad.
