Hey everyone! I recently got my laptop back from Geek Squad after they handled some issues I was having, which I think were caused by a corrupted file. When I turned it on, I was logged into a local user account that had the Geek Squad support app, Adobe Acrobat, and Chrome already installed. I noticed it started installing something automatically, and when I tried to download Discord, it gave me an error but it opened fine afterward (though I'm not signed in yet). I'm not too bothered about using a local account, but I'm curious if this setup is typical or if I should be worried. I expected to do a clean setup myself, so the pre-installed apps and download issues have me a little concerned. What do you think?

Honestly, it sounds like they might have used a Geek Squad image to set it up. I wouldn't trust that setup too much. It's probably safer to wipe it and do a fresh Windows install. That way, you'll know exactly what's on your laptop and avoid any weird issues later.
Can you explain more about this 'image' thing? How does it work?
