What RAM should I choose for my AMD Ryzen build?

I'm upgrading my system and keeping my GPU for now, but I want to ensure I'm picking the right RAM for my setup. Here's what I'm working with:

- AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- B850 Tomahawk WiFi motherboard
- RTX 2070 Super (I'll upgrade this later)

I mainly game and do some mid-range tasks. I've been considering the "Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6000MHz 32GB," but it mentions XMP without any reference to AMD EXPO. I'd really like to overclock the RAM, and RGB lighting is a must. What would you recommend?

Check this out: Teamgroup T-Force Delta RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000 CL30. It supports AMD EXPO and is also more affordable than the Corsair kit you're looking at!

Yup, this one could be perfect for you!

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately, I can't find this brand where I live.

Is there a Corsair, Kingston, or G.Skill that has similar performance? I can only find those brands here.

XMP kits will work great with your CPU and motherboard. Just make sure the kit you're eyeing has a CAS Latency of 30 (CL30). That'll ensure it's a Hynix A-die kit, which is top-notch for DDR5. Also, keep an eye on the next two timings—30-36-36 is better than 30-40-40. If you want to manually tune your memory later, a Hynix-based kit will deliver the best performance right out of the box too.

For tuning, I totally recommend checking out buildzoid's easy DDR5 timings.

Thanks for the tips! Can you help me check some Corsair options I found? Here they are:

1. Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30 Vengeance RGB AMD EXPO/XMP 3.0.

2. Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6400MHz CL32 Vengeance RGB AMD EXPO/XMP 3.0.

3. Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL28 Vengeance RGB AMD EXPO/XMP 3.0.
