Do I Need to Charge My Phone’s Battery Before Replacing the Display?

Hey everyone! I've got a smartphone that has been out of commission for a while because the screen is broken. I found a cheap replacement display and I'm ready to give it a try! Before I dive in, I was wondering if I need to charge the battery beforehand. My plan is to connect the new display and turn on the phone to test it out before I finish reassembling everything. Is it safe to have a charged battery during this process? Any tips would be really appreciated! Thanks!

If your phone's battery has been sitting unused for years, it might be a good idea to replace it too. Old batteries can fail after being drained for so long. This way, you won't have to worry about any battery issues while you're working on the repair!

Totally here for this! Batteries can lose their effectiveness over time, especially after long periods without a charge.

Yep, definitely swap it out to avoid headaches later!

Honestly, whether the battery is charged or not shouldn't impact your ability to replace the display. However, make sure to disconnect the battery before you start poking around to avoid any short circuits. Safety first!
